Western Rotunda Massage

by Andrea Collier

To volunteer for the Rotunda Massage Project, please call Andrea Collier at 724-545-1339, EMAIL: collierhillfarm@comcast.net for the next third Wednesday of the month. If

you need a ride from the Pittsburgh area we can make carpool arrangements too. We usually meet in Monroeville at 6:00AM to arrive early at the site for

set up and be ready to roll at 10:00AM to 2PM.

The main goal of the project is to be visible and educate the people in the legislative branch of Pennsylvania, about the benefits and importance of massage,

and the need to protect the public from injury caused by unethical or untrained people.

“So off we went and still go with our chairs, equipments and banner up to one thousand and one steps, though the revolving door and into the Pennsylvania

Capitol,” Andrea Collier stated. “We are usually deluged with so many people who now mark their calendars and make sure they take their breaks and

lunches during the time we are there, so they can get their well deserved and appreciated massages. We have been the solo in the great hall and also have

been stuffed to the side with many other activities and presentations over the months. It doesn’t matter to the staff, who eagerly awaits for the massage

day, if we are in a big airy, open place of the rotunda or against the wall. They are looking forward to get their massage.” Andrea Collier

explained. “They have seen the great value of massage even in a small teaser of 10 to 15 minutes once a month in the chair. Many have sought out

their own private therapists, as a result of having relief from the massage. They have even asked the Senators and Representatives to consider adding

massage to their medical benefits considering the good effect it had done for their health.”

The chapter needs your help to volunteer in this project. We are now visible and being recognized by the legislative people. We invite you to please

join us in a very unique day of service and fun. We have beautiful imprinted blue t-shirts for you. If you volunteer at least 3 times, you will

receive $50 discount for any education workshop that the Chapter sponsors and it increases if you come more than three times.

We encourage you to come and see the place where it all happens for Pennsylvania, you will be amazed! The Capitol itself is the most beautiful

building in all of the 50 states and exciting to see government in action.
