I want you to know I support this bill because I believe the profession of massage therapy is a legitimate one that is being under-served by our state
government. For years these professionals have been asking for licensing by the state so educational and ethical standards can be set forth. The benefit will be
protection of the public seeking massage therapy and a pool of very skilled and educated therapists available to the residents of Pennsylvania. I see licensing
for massage therapists as a win-win situation and to be the next step to raise massage therapy to a greater level of professionalism.
As a recipient of massage I find this work therapeutic because it relieves stress stored in my body that can lead to health issues. Additionally, I feel better when
I receive massage. I have improved sense of well being, feel less discomfort in my body, have more energy and a better attitude. Massage therapy is an important
part of my wellness plan.
