Government Relations

From Gina Washlaski, President

Our licensure is now official! The PA governor has signed our bill HB 2499 and it is now law. We have been asked many questions regarding grandfathering and requirements for licensure. We are in the process of

updating our web site info to answer many of these questions. Some of the questions are listed below. Click on the questions about licensure link to read them. We are all very excited to share this wonderful time and information with you!

Some of the questions that we have received can not be answered until the Licensure Board has been selected by the Governor, and the rules and regulations have been set by that board. We will work with the Licensure board in every way possible to continue our commitment in moving the profession forward. We look to you our members for support in doing so. Please contact us if you would like to get more involved with our Government Relations committee we are looking for a person to Chair the committee and 3 people to assist in making phone calls and writing letters and a possible community awareness event. If you are interested please contact Brenda Schuck at BJ6698@aol.com . Brenda will be working with our imediate past president Nancy Porambo while the licensure board is being selected and will need all the help and support that we can give!
