Elk, Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder,
Mifflin Huntingdon, Blair, Juniata, Perry, Dauphin, Cumberland, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin,
Adams and York counties. As you can see from the list, we cover a lot of territories.

CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE:
SOAP Notation and Side-Lying Pelvic Girdle Techniques (see below for description).

SPEAKER:
Margie Schaeffer, MEd, LMT Margie has a total of 35 years of professional teaching, administration and curriculum writing. Two degrees: undergraduate degree in HealthPhysical Education and a graduate degree in Education along with a certificate in Massage Therapy. She founded, directed and created the entire curriculum of a COMTA accredited massage therapy school. Approved since 1999 as a NCBTMB Provider of Continuing Education for massage therapy related courses. She has instructed SOAP notation since 1997, pharmacology & pathology for massage therapy since 1999, orthopedic massage therapy since 1996. Her private practice specializes in orthopedic and palliative care massage/bodywork and have been in active practice since 1990

In this 6 hour the first portion of the theory/lecture class will review Public Domain S.O.A.P. client charts designed to safe guard massage therapist and client from liability concerns. Power Point and hand-outs will be provided to assist in easy retention and application of all information. The second portion will be lab class instructing the use of side-lying position including client draping and pelvic girdle techniques for relieving low back and pelvic dysfunctional conditions.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE DAY: If you attend the CE class, please bring linens, lotion and 3 pillows or 1 body pillow (massage table is provided). Also, please bring your AMTA number.
